Who Cares About Nutrition?
If you are like me, you see everywhere about how you should eat a certain number of servings of protein, grains, fats and on and on. It’s kind of repetitive. I read it and think: didn’t I just see that in another article?
But who cares? It’s not so exiciting. I am just being honest. Looking at a food pyramid does not get me excited.
And if you are not excited, how long will you stick with it?
But what if nutrition was actually spelled “S – A- T- I –S – F – A – C – T – I – O – N” Well, now we are getting somewhere. I am at least interested.
Yes, you do need good, healthy food. But please let’s knock the boredom out of it. Don’t get out a plate and divide it into three sections and grab some foods from the food pyramid and throw them on there.
Go for real food that you love. Do you love an easy over egg? A fresh apple, but only the beautiful sweet red ones? Big, plump tomatoes, perfectly ripe with basil on them? Good deal.
That’s what you eat then.
Find what you like. Just make sure it’s real food. Not packaged, pre dried, pre aged, pre eaten – cardboard.
